There was a pension there that was home to seven cats, and there were all kinds of reviews, with people saying that the cats would sometimes come into their rooms, sleep with them, or even be in their bed in the morning. We had always hoped that one day we would be able to do something like that while interacting with cats at a cat inn, so we headed to Tateyama in Minami Boso in early August 2025, right around the time of Obon, to combine sightseeing with our trip. We traveled by bus and train. Although there were some inconveniences with transportation, the two-day, one-night trip was still very enjoyable.
