THE ALTERNATE TITLE TO THIS VIDEO WOULD BE "EVER HAVE ONE OF THOSE DAYS"? The shotgun in this video is 71 years old and these are the first shots through the gun. There are obvious "teething issues" that have to be addressed. Once I got home, I found that although the chamber looked clean, it had a heavy layer of "patina" that was possibly acting like an adhesive on the outside of the shell. {Much the same way that russian lacquer residue will bind up cases in chambers not designed for adhesive covered ammo, vis-a-vie steel cased ammo in AR platforms). The chamber has now been cleaned and scoured with 4aught steel wool and is nice and shiny, and that will hopefully end the issue of locking up or sticking after firing.
