Surviving in the Forest | Continuing to Build My Log House | Part 4

I'm still out here — Part 4 of building my log house alone in the forest, with my dog, her puppies, and nothing else around for miles. The first floor is almost done. Every log notched and fitted by hand, the walls slowly closing in the way they should after this much time and work. Between the building I'm living the way I've been living out here — fishing the river for dinner, keeping the fire through the night, watching the forest do what it does when nobody's watching it back. My dog has been beside me since the first day of this build. Now she has puppies, and they're growing up in the same forest, running around the same site while I work. It's a strange kind of life. Quiet, hard, and completely mine. No neighbors, no noise — just the trees, the logs going up one by one, and a small pack of dogs keeping the loneliness away. The first floor is nearly there.
