The housing boom is underway to cater for the thousands of squatters living in huts. Water supply is another problem. Seawater is being purified to drinkwater. Religion brings solace. In the New Territories there is a serene atmosphere, except for the duck farms. But in Kowloon overcrowding is an increasing problem.
