SAS 737-400 extended approach to Harstad/Narvik Airport Evenes

Because of freezing rain on the runway at Evenes, the plane had stay at holding for approximately 20 minutes. Instead of following the normal holding pattern, the captain and his co-pilot decided to take us on a sightseeing to see the beautiful city of Harstad on it's brightest hour during the darkest day of the year. Note the fancy, awesome lights on the TV-tower as the plane circles above town. Merry Christmas!
