"DAWN - MAID OF THE MIST" (First movement) "THE NIAGARA SUITE". By Les Reed OBE

"Dawn - Maid of the Mist" (First Movement) "THE NIAGARA SUITE" by Les Reed OBE. Featuring Tommy Reilly MBE (Harmonica). It took a trailblazing musical genius to carry the humble harmonica from the street corner to the heights of the classical music platform -- my father Tommy Reilly did just that. Legendary conductor Neville Mariner of the Academy of St. Martins Chamber Orchestra said that it wasn't what Tommy played, but the way he played it. His formidable technique fused with natural interpretation and musicianship made him the true master of his instrument -- Larry Adler once said that Tommy didn't even have a close second. Composer Les Reed held him in such high esteem as a friend and musician that he wrote the wonderfully haunting 'Niagara Suite' especially for him, a work my father had a great affection for, because it reminded him of his formative years growing up in Canada. When a great musician and great composer join forces to make music, the result is nothing less than sublime. David Reilly. October 2013. Video produced by Nick Hogarth. "Dawn - Maid of the Mist" Composed and Orchestrated by Les Reed OBE.
