The UMC is in Trouble (and that is good)
The United Methodist Church (UMC) faces a significant financial crisis driven by widespread church disaffiliations, which has led to a drastically reduced budget and anticipated revenue shortfalls. The denomination's General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) has already implemented large budget cuts and is preparing for further adjustments to its operations, which include a plan to reduce the number of bishops and consolidate administrative duties. Hopefully they will cease to be.
