The Marian apparitions at Fatima in 1917 constitute a unique event in 20th-century history. Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco, three children from a small Portuguese village, allegedly saw the Virgin Mary from May to October 1917. Some consider it a miraculous apparition of Mary, the mother of Jesus, while others consider it a hoax or a false interpretation cleverly exploited by the Church. However, UFOlogists examining the children's accounts note numerous similarities to later reports of UFO encounters. In the first episode of the Fatima series, we examine the figure of an Angel who supposedly appeared to children up to two years before the apparition of the Beautiful Lady at Cova da Iria.
