This video is about basic introduction to different types of Atomic Spectroscopy with special focus on Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). AAS uses a special type of light source which is called as Hollow Cathode Lamp (HCL). This technique also uses a special type of flame for atomization which is called as pre-mix slot burner flame. Working mechanism of both these devices is explained along with fuel + oxident combinations. The reference material has been taken from the book "Quantitative Chemical Analysis" by Daniel C. Harris.
