The plan was revealed during a meeting between the Head of the South Sulawesi Education Office, Iqbal Nadjamuddin, and his staff, along with Makassar Mayor Munafri Arifuddin. The meeting took place at Makassar City Hall on Jl. Jenderal Ahmad Yani, Monday (June 22, 2026). The school to be built is designed as a flagship state boarding school.
