Visiting the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) l My Korea Diaries: 9

The border between North and South Korea is one of the most heavily fortified areas in the world. The DMZ extends 2km in either direction from the Military Demarkation Line and acts as a buffer zone. Visits to the DMZ for civilians are only allowed as part of an organised tour. Most follow the same blueprint: 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, Dora Observatory, Unification Village.
