Squier Bronco bass mods Ep.4: Does copper shielding tape affect the tone?

In episode 4 of this series, we will explore whether copper tape shielding has any effect on the tone of this Squier Sonic series Bronco short scale bass. In episode 3, we shielded the back of the pickguard and the entire cavity with adhesive conductive copper tape. While it did not yield a dramatic reduction in hum or noise, the follow-up question is, does the presence of shielding tape affect the tone of the bass? Does the bass sound the same or difference after shielding? Pre-shielding and post-shielding settings, pickup heights, string heights and strings were the same. Identical signal chain.
