Fox Valley Missouri Dept. of Conservation: Free Camping/Kahoka, Mo.

Welcome to our new series. We actually have a real reason for this trip. We are heading up to Wisc. for my nieces wedding and we're going to video on the way up and we're going to meander back through Iowa videoing Iowa county parks , state parks and Corps of engineer campgrounds. Plus all the points of interest spots we can find. For this stop it took a lot of thought and effort. We had major weather problems to worry about on day 1. We had hail, high winds and tornado worries in the middle of Mo. where we were leaving through most of Iowa. So we decided to head over to Fort Madison, Iowa to camp on the Mississippi river. As we head out we just start fine tuning night 1 and discover Fort Madison was in flood stage. At this point we start searching for other options - think about Cantril, Iowa but in the end we chose Fox Valley MDC. We've been here before and we knew what to expect. We drive over to Cantril on this video and check out the new Dutchman store. That night the weather was rough in Iowa. Des Moines had a tornado and luckily for us the storm was dying down by the time it got to us. We hope you enjoy out new series. It's a long one. Thanks for watching.
