Encore: “New Birth” — The Final Performance on the Floral Piano

Performer : Puni, 12 years old Puni played “New Birth”, a piece composed by Hayato Sumino (Cateen) based on Chopin’s Étude Op.10 No.1, on the street piano in Kamiyacho Shareo, Hiroshima, Japan. This floral piano will soon be getting a new look, and this piece is likely to be the last one Puni plays on it in its current design. After receiving an encore last time, Puni chose to play this piece—one he had been practicing recently—which turned out to be a fitting way to celebrate the birth of the newly wrapped piano. Puni also uploaded a performance of “New Birth” when he was 10 years old, which was arranged by ear.
