Bujagali Commissioning: 50MW turbine switched on
http://www.ntvuganda.co.ug/ The long awaited electricty generation by the Bujagali dam has finally begun after the project was switched on today. Prime minister Amama Mbabazi today commissioned 50 megawatts of power from turbine one raising the total national output to 635 megawatts. Bujagali is expected to produce 250 megawatts of hydropower energy by July 2012 when fully commissioned.
