The Suubi+Adherence4Youth Study: A Multi Site-Factorial Experiment in Uganda
The overall goal of this study is to identify the most impactful and sustainable economic and psychosocial components to promote viral suppression across 48 health clinics in Uganda with over 500 adolescents with HIV. Suubi is a multi-component intervention that targets psychosocial and economic hardships to improve ART adherence, viral suppression, mental health, and family financial stability. Dr. John A. Sauceda, together with Dr. Fred Ssewamala and Mr. Allan Mugarura, discuss the general approach to designing this large-scale, multi-site factorial design and present preliminary data.
