Thanks Sajeevan Anthikad (TCV channel)Blindfold reading/Midbrain activation- The myth busted "Abha International academy", an institution which claimed to "make your child a genius in two days" through "midbrain activation" was running brisk business all over Kerala through its many franchisees, charging a princely sum of Rs.25000 as course fee. Mr. Kishor Lal , "Chief mentor"of this "Academy" had publicly claimed that the children trained in his institution can see and read blindfolded, through 'pineal gland' or 'divine eye'. He volunteered to demonstrate this to rationalist and magician R.K. Malayath of Nilambur. However, he miserably failed to demonstrate what he claimed. Mr. Shamsuddeen, a street magician demonstrated blindfold vision even more successfully, with no claim to 'midbrain activation or seeing through pineal gland or any such . At the end, Mr.Kishor Lal admitted his failure and rendered a written undertaking that he is withdrawing 'midbrain activation course'. Freethinker/ rationalist activists from various parts of Kerala attended the event .
