Day 2 of our Hampta Pass adventure and guess what? We’ve officially entered Balu Ka Ghera — which literally means ‘Heap of Sand’, but don’t let that fool you — there’s way more here than just sand! Today was all about crossing rivers like wannabe Indiana Jones, slipping in meadows like it’s a Bollywood dance sequence, and pretending we’re pro trekkers while gasping for breath every 10 steps. We pitched our tents on soft ground surrounded by giant mountains — and tried not to think about the fact that Balu Ka Ghera is famous for being windy enough to fly you to Ladakh for free!
