Ask the Mayor - June 18, 2026
During the latest Ask the Mayor radio show, the Mayor focused on public participation in City government, explaining that residents are always welcome to speak on items included on the City Council agenda. He also discussed why a general public forum for non-agenda topics is not currently part of Council meetings and highlighted other ways residents can share opinions, concerns, and feedback on City issues outside of regular Council business. Additional topics discussed included conflicts of interest, reporting weed and property maintenance issues, the responsibilities of the Traffic Committee, parking changes on Perkins Street between 7th and 8th Streets, and the agreement with SCC regarding utility infrastructure delineation.
