Table Mountain National Park fires were started deliberately: Authorities
Authorities at Table Mountain National Park have established that the fire that destroyed vegetation and historic buildings at the University of Cape Town was started deliberately. The fire gutted sections of Rhodes Memorial, some buildings at UCT, and a ministerial house in Newlands. About 650 hectares of natural vegetation were destroyed.
