I thought about how to make a wooden deck as easily as possible, and made this. Normally, the process involves installing foundation stones → floor joists, main drawers → joists → decking materials, and a fair amount of materials are used, so many people might find it surprisingly difficult. Using only 2x4s makes it easy to gather the materials, and I recommend this method for DIY. Some people might think this is a shortcut, but I just wanted to show you that there is another way to do it. There are no problems with strength. The floor joists and joist structure are joined only with horizontal screws, so there is a possibility that they may become wobbly in the future. The wood is thin, so I think the joints will inevitably loosen. It would be better to buy lots of screws and use joist glue to attach them. I omitted the glue, but that was also an experiment to see how long this method would last. *In fact, I made a mini bed using the same method about 10 years ago, and it is still in good condition. Another issue is durability. Since there are few joists and cheap materials are used, there is a high possibility of warping.
