Le Burkina lance une mobilisation agricole historique

Burkina Faso has taken another step in its quest for food sovereignty. Through the community-based approach "Tin Taan Souani" ("let's work together" in Gulmanchema), thousands of Burkinabè are mobilizing to develop 10,000 hectares of lowland areas for rice production. Women, youth, elders, farmers, Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and technical teams from the Ministry are working side-by-side to build dikes, develop the land, and prepare for an ambitious agricultural season. This method not only significantly reduces development costs but also empowers communities to gradually become self-sufficient in managing their agricultural infrastructure. In this video, discover the impressive images of this national mobilization, the objectives pursued, and the reasons why this initiative could mark a turning point in Burkinabe agriculture. The images used are from the Ministry of Agriculture of Burkina Faso. Video source: Radio-Télévision du Burkina (RTB). Feel free to share your opinion in the comments.
