Competitive karuta is a traditional Japanese game played using the “Ogura Hyakunin Isshu”, a collection of 100 classical Japanese poems. This culture has been passed down for over 1,000 years, and today many people enjoy it as a competitive game that requires speed, focus, and quick reactions. Behind every card is countless hours of practice, intense concentration, and split-second decisions.
