"Sanctus" (Chant) and "Eclipse" from Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon - Christoph Bull, Organ

A note from Christoph: This is from the weekly pre-service organ concert at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles on Sunday, March 5, 2023. A few days earlier, our Choral Director Dr. David Harris had stopped me in the hallway to let me know that it was the 50th Anniversary of Pink Floyd's legendary album The Dark Side Of The Moon on March 1, 2023. Wow, 50 years! And wouldn't it be nice to celebrate this anniversary on the pipe organ. I had done the final track from the album, "Eclipse", before... during my first 'organica' series in 1999. So, that became the obvious choice. (The fact that we were growing towards a particularly beautiful new moon helped :) I felt I needed a soft, meditative Intro in order to make the "Eclipse" Intro entrance more effective. The Gregorian Chant "Sanctus" from Missa Orbis factor came to mind. So, I got to do two favorite things: improvising on Gregorian Chant and on Pink Floyd.
