The United States has fired more than 1,200 Patriot interceptor missiles, each costing more than US$4 million. US Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, dismissed suggestions that the US stockpile of interceptor missiles, crucial to deterring Iranian attacks, was running low. Mike Waltz said the strikes on Iran were halted because Trump wanted to create space for negotiations between Iran and Oman to address the Strait of Hormuz. An Iranian military spokesman said Iran had halted what he called "retaliatory operations" after the United States halted its attacks over the past two nights.
