Brian Auger's Oblivion Express - Somebody Help Us (Auftritt im ORF, 1972)
Brian Auger is a British fusion and rock organist born in London in 1939. He has worked with Rod Stewart, Tony Williams, Jimi Hendrix, John McLaughlin, Sonny Boy Williamson and Eric Burdon. In 1970 he founded the band Brian Auger's Oblivion Express, which made it into the charts in 1973 with the album "Closer to It". After that, the group's style solidified into a groove-driven mixture of rhythmic elements of R&B and funk and harmonic and melodic elements of jazz. Spotlight was a music programme for young people broadcast by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) between 1968 and 1978. It was the equivalent of Beat Club or Musikladen in Germany.
