Review: 26 CDs of the Remarkable Sergio Fiorentino
This Brilliant Classics set gathers together all of the extent recordings of Italian pianist Sergio Fiorentino, with the exception of a few Rachmaninoff transcriptions (that should have been included). Never mind. Fiorentino was a true keyboard poet, and his recordings of Bach, Schumann, Schubert, Rachmaninoff, Brahms, and above all, Liszt, remain essential listening for piano mavens.
