Satyajit Ray is the name of a Magic! It's not less than a miracle that one person can be fluent in so many things, being a filmmaker, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker, author, essayist, lyricist, magazine editor, illustrator, calligrapher, music composer, and one of my favourite- a THINKER ! It's an absolute privilege that I as a human being have an advantage of witnessing and understanding the works of Satyajit Ray, being a bengali has given me this privilege. Since Satyajit Ray could be an university by himself, I'm just a student trying to understand his works by sitting outside the class! And this video is my progress report of how much I have been able to learn ( which is negligible compared to all his works put together) ! This is a cover of a few songs used in his movies, all of them directed by him, played in instruments of various parts of the world. Since music has no boundaries, his tunes could be played on Dotara ( Bengali), Mandolin (Italian), Oud ( Turkish), etc. ! I hope you would like this small initiative of ours.
