Birds, Butterflies and Idyllic Camping--Bullbush Campsite, Queen Elizabeth National Park

This week finds us camped beside a raging river in the Ishasha sector of Uganda's Queen Elizabeth National Park and then driving north through the park. Lots of birds, a great campsite, colourful clouds of butterflies, playful baboons and all that is best about overlanding through Africa! We are a Kiwi/Canadian couple travelling around Africa in our 4x4 camper, affectionately known as Stanley (after Henry Morton Stanley, the 19th-century explorer), documenting our own modern exploration of some of the continent's wildest, most beautiful and least-known sights.
