Trekking in the footsteps of bygone shepherds and pack ponies, you'll travel through traditional Lakeland villages, pass Neolithic landmarks and camp by rivers and lake shores. Welcome to the high fells and valleys of England’s Lake District. This trek offers three days of trekking in the National Park which is home to England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike, and won’t go unnoticed. The combination of mountains, lakes and valleys offers a stunning way to meet nature. 3days for 50km A new route for the UK and this time in the Lake District National Park!Starting in the heart of the mountains you will trek through ancient woodlands, enjoy views from mountain passes and camp by rivers and lake shores. Walking in the footsteps of bygone shepherds and pack ponies you'll travel through traditional Lakeland villages, pass Neolithic landmarks and finish at a castle by the sea! This is a journey you'll never forget. . LANGDALE -LANGSTRATH The trek begins in the iconic Langdale Valley. A gentle start will take you along the valley bottom where, if you look up, you will see a Neolithic 'axe factory' high above on the mountain side. Then begins the ascent up Stake Pass (481m) via a winding packhorse route from the top you'll wind down hairpin bends into Langstrath Valley. At Black Moss Pot there will be a friendly weclome at the first checkpoint of your journey and you'll be delighted by waterfalls and deep pools of crystal-clear water. . LANGSTRATH -BORROWDALE The track then follows Stonethwaite Beck which will lead you along the valley floor surrounded by the craggy mountain sides of the central fells. Crossing back over the river via a footbridge you’ll pass Galeny Force and then traverse below a woodland until you get to the tiny village of Rossthwaite. Over the bridge you is the first camp spot deep in the Borrowdale valley
