The municipality of Garviate recorded the greatest inconvenience in the province of Varese. The area is not new to intense storms of this type, which cause flooding in cellars and garages: "There's no two without three, it's the third time it's happened. Every year we spend money to tidy up and then we're back to square one," complain residents. Some municipalities in the lower Val Camonica, such as Darfo Boario Terme, were also hit by a strong disturbance.
