INGREDIENTS: • 1 sheet of puff pastry • 3 apples, peeled and cored • Pastry cream to taste • Apricot or peach marmalade • 1 or 2 tablespoons of sugar • 1 beaten egg for brushing PREPARATION: 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. 2. Roll out the sheet of pastry and trim all four edges. Brush the new edges with egg wash and place the trimmed strips to create a high border. 3. Prick the center of the pastry and spread as much cream as you like. Place the thinly sliced apples on top. 4. Brush the edges of the pastry with egg so that it becomes shiny and golden when baked. 5. Sprinkle sugar all over the pie. 6. Bake in a 200°C oven for 18 to 20 minutes. 7. Warm the marmalade or jam slightly in the microwave and lightly beat with a fork to make it soft and easy to handle. 8. After removing from the oven and while still warm, brush the entire pie with the marmalade. Let it cool and it's ready to enjoy.
