So I have fond memories of that guitar. But it makes me realize that at the price of this Epiphone SG custom guitar that there will be many guys looking at these that don't have huge budgets and long for a decent guitar. So in steps Epiphone and makes one... or do they? Is this darned thing really what it's cracked up to be and is it really 'inspired by Gibson' ? A number of people have asked exactly that - even before the review is complete, so I set out to show the good, the bad and the ugly (I play the part of the ugly) :). This close up review shows you everything you would likely ever want to know about the Epiphone SG custom and even where you can go and get one if you're in the UK. This guitar certainly is playable as supplied but I do cover the things you might want to upgrade over time to 'improve' the guitar and some might say Gibsonize it. And its a custom and not just an Epiphone sg standard At the end of the video I do play the guitar with the original pickups and also with some Seymour Duncan pickups in there - a JB SH4 and a Jazz SH2N (I think those are the names) so compare them and put in the comments what you think if the guitar sounds better than stock - is the guitar improved or not?
