I Exposed Phone Snatching on London’s Streets | In Too Deep | Channel 4 Documentaries
David Navarro goes inside the phone snatching epidemic in Britain and carries out a bold social experiment to see if he can get a phone stolen and track down its snatcher. Across Britain’s streets, phone snatching has reached epidemic levels. With up to £50million phones stolen last year and up to 200 snatches per day in the UK, London is ground zero of the phone snatching epidemic. We meet the modifiers who are modifying e-bikes to be the perfect snatching vehicle, and the snatchers who risk everything to snatch your phone. David recruits a group of people to carry out a bold social experiment. Standing as pedestrians on London’s streets with camera-rigged phones, can they get a phone stolen and see what the snatchers do with them? 00:00 Intro 01:04 Phone snatching reaching epidemic levels 01:40 Rigging the phones 02:28 Meeting e-bike mechanic 05:02 Test phone snatched in Shoreditch 06:22 Phones in tin foil 06:54 Ex-snatcher 08:20 Current snatcher 09:50 Finsbury Park, start of experiment 10:50 The teams go out onto streets of London 13:04 Attempted snatch 14:55 Phone snatched 16:44 Tracking the snatched phone 18:34 After the experiment In partnership with Creative Wales Presented by David Navarro Producers: Aisha Von-Nahmmacher and Shay Oluyinka Editors: Joe Sullivan and Liam Dowler Colourist: Theodore Swaddling Motion Graphics: Zach F Evans Sound Mixer: Nick Davies Shooting Director: Joe Sullivan Head of Production: Andie Clare Executive Producer: Alan Hayling Producer / Director: Martin Read SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/c/Channel4Doc...
