What is the purpose of KIAI?

PURPOSE OF KIAI IN KARATE | KYOKUSHIN VLOG-38 Evendo lions live in the open Savannah, they are referred to as Kings of the Jungle because of their raw power, strenght and because they fear no other animals. Lions will use their roar to scare off intruders similar to what a karate student would do when facing of his opponents and like the lion when it roars, a karate practicioner will show of his power with a loud, sharp strong kiai. In martial arts, a strong Kiai unifies your own mind, body and spirit and helps unnerv and defeat your opponent just like when a lion uses its Roar. If your Kiai can do that, then it has allready served its purpose well A strong Kiai will give you an edge over your opponents and help lead you to victory and success in anything you do.
