Julian Assange's lawyer not interested in 'just a pardon' but 'changing the law'

Julian Assange’s lawyer Jennifer Robinson says she’s interested in “not just a pardon” but “changing the law” regarding journalists being charged under the Espionage Act. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has returned to Australia as a free man after pleading guilty to espionage in a plea deal to secure his release. “The word pardon has been discussed over the last number of years,” Ms Robinson told Sky News Australia. “It is something that I think press freedom groups are talking about already. “What we’re interested in is not just a pardon for Julian, but in changing the law to make sure that no other journalist can be prosecuted in this way under the Espionage Act.”
