It’s basically a really tiny benign tumor, and it’s triggered by growth factor, which is triggered by insulin. This is why, in some cases, diabetics and prediabetics start getting skin tags around their neck or armpits. Insulin is the hormone that regulates blood sugars. But, if you continually eat sugar, or you eat too frequently, you can raise insulin to the point where you have insulin resistance. Now, you can have too much insulin. Insulin is anabolic and makes things grow, so it can start causing skin tags. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting.
