From Uncertainty to Overcoming Her Past: Shauna's journey | A King's Trust Celebration 2026

Shauna, 33, from Leeds,moved into the care system when she was a child. Her experiences inspired her to start her own business, and she came to The King’s Trust for support in getting her idea off the ground. Now a mum of two and a trained accredited play therapist, Shauna owns Lighthouse Therapy Hub, who uses different creative therapeutic approaches using metaphor to revisit clients’ past experiences and trauma. "I can't change my past, but I can absolutely change my future."
