Repairing Rusted-Solid 1929 Ford AA Shifter Stem With Toilet Bowl Cleaner
As we continue to try to make this rusted-solid transmission usable, we need to salvage the shift stem. All the components on the stem including the reverse rod have become "one" with rust. Will electrolysis do the job? Or will toilet bowl cleaner triumph and save the day? Warning: Do what I do or say at your own risk and at the risk of your own equipment. This is not meant to be perceived as "the way", but more as a vehicle to encourage thought and creativity. Be safe, and be cautious.
