The Schützenfest Hannover is one of the largest and most traditional folk festivals in the world. From 03. July to 12. July 2026, the state capital is transformed into a lively meeting place for customs, entertainment and socialising. Experience a unique mixture of centuries-old tradition, modern rides, diverse gastronomy and a varied program of events. A special highlight is the Schützenausmarsch, which is considered the largest Schützenmarsch in the world. Thousands of participants march through the city centre in a festive atmosphere and make lived customs for visitors from near and far to experience.
