At this full moon in Capricorn, we want to take action on some ideas or opportunities that have recently come up in order to more fully move forward into a new and better experience of life. However, we still find ourselves stuck and unable to do so. That is because we are still confused about the best way to act on these ideas and opportunities: Do we take action on these ideas and opportunities in a way that is more cerebral, very well planned out, and with lots of hard work? Or do we take action on these things in a way that slower, more restful, more go with the flow, and that emphasizes healing our emotions first? Somewhere deep down within ourselves we know that the best way to act is by going slow and honoring our emotions first. Doing that, however, is a lot easier than it sounds! The more we try to slow down and honor our emotions, the more we realize that we still have a lot of walls, blockages, and defense mechanisms up preventing us from getting at our emotions and feeling them. These blockages were caused by trauma from the past, as well as the traditions or expectations of society that told us that honoring our emotions makes us weak and slowing down makes us not a productive member of society. We also still have many practical matters in life that we feel we need to take care of, preventing us from going inwards. As a result, we may feel a bit stuck, uncomfortable, frustrated, confused, and maybe even very tired. However, what I think we will eventually learn is that the way to remove these walls and blockages is not by doing nothing! Clearly, that will get us nowhere. Instead, it is by consciously choosing to slow down and honor our emotions time and time again, even if it is hard – and by practicing it until it becomes a normal, easy, or regular thing. Once we slow down and honor our emotions enough, our spark and desire to take action will begin to return, and the correct answer on how to act will come to us more naturally on its own, without pushing and forcing, especially around the end of July. The reason why we are confused now about which way to act to begin with is because we recently entered a new experience of life, and our emotions (as well as our mind) haven't fully adjusted or registered it yet. We need this time of slowing down and honoring our emotions in order to fully understand what has recently shifted in our lives, make our peace with it, be more present in our new place, and adapt.
