Another outing on the West Midlands Day Ranger ticket. Starting at Stafford then to the Severn Valley Railway for their Spring Steam Gala. The West Coast Mainline was in a right pickle after Avanti West Coast Pendolino 390126 brought the wires down in Manchester Piccadilly the Day before so everything the day afterwards was delayed or cancelled or services terminated at Stockport. Some services could go to Manchester Piccadilly but was limited.
