Marc Bloch, esquisse d’une biographie | Catherine Maurer, professeure d'Histoire contemporaine
Catherine Maurer, Professor of Contemporary History (Arts, Civilization and History of Europe Laboratory - Arche / University of Strasbourg) The interment of Marc Bloch in the Panthéon provides an opportunity to revisit the many facets of his work and actions. It seemed essential, however, to recall the main stages of his short life: his family origins, childhood and youth, the Great War, his extended stay in Strasbourg, his return to Paris, the war again, and his involvement in the Resistance. Roundtable discussion as part of the study day dedicated to Marc Bloch - June 15, 2026
