Payoff Pitch Baseball: 1000+ Plate Appearance Simulation (Steve Blass/Steve Carlton)
In this video, I analyze the Payoff Pitch baseball game cards of Steve Blass (1973) and Steve Carlton (1980). I run multiple simulations of 1000+ plate appearances each. It is a good illustration of the natural statistical variability in baseball simulation games. The uniqueness of Blass's experience in 1973 and his resulting card is also very interesting.
