Retired in Thailand, but Busier Than Ever

Retirement was supposed to mean slowing down, but somehow life has become busier, more curious and far more interesting. This week, we head out for our regular Wednesday lunch and discover a newly opened little restaurant serving surprisingly good ribs, burgers and hot dogs. Along the way, we talk about the recent concerns surrounding YouTubers “working” in Thailand, what small online earnings really look like, and why filming our weekly life has always been more of a personal diary than a business. We also experiment with live translation through Google Translate and wireless earbuds. For couples living across two languages, this technology could open up a completely new kind of conversation and finally allow Chanya to become more involved in some of the deeper discussions on the channel. From translation apps and artificial intelligence to 3D printers, personal knowledge vaults and getting healthier, retirement does not have to be the end of the story.
