Having seen the happy faces of those who'd found the first porcini mushrooms of the season online, I couldn't wait for the weekend to rush off along my cherished forest trails. My imagination conjured up the jubilant moment of the encounter. I was almost certain I'd find one—after all, the neighbors in Ivanovo find them! And how could we be worse off? But alas, our encounter never took place. Oh well, the longer the wait, the more vivid this unforgettable moment will be, and it will certainly come! And soon!
