Understanding Sgarbossa Criteria - Good Reads

In this episode of Good Reads, we take a closer look at abnormal Left Bundle Branch Blocks (LBBB) in the context of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Building on the law of appropriate discordance, we explain how the Sgarbossa Criteria help identify abnormalities in LBBB patterns. We explore the three key criteria: Criteria A: Concordant ST Segment Elevation. Criteria B: Concordant ST Segment Depression in leads V1-V3. Criteria C: Excessively Disconcordant ST-Segment Elevation (using the Smith-modified 25% rule) . Each criterion is broken down to help you understand their definitions and applications. This episode lays the groundwork for interpreting real 12-lead ECGs, which we’ll cover in the next video.
