Exploring a Deserted Jewson Builders Yard Newquay Urbex
The former Jewson builders yard at Mount Wise in Newquay is the subject of a planning application submitted by Acorn Property Group to Cornwall Council. The proposal outlines the demolition of the long-disused buildings on the site and the construction of 28 new homes in their place. According to the planning documents, the site ceased trading in 2006 and has remained vacant ever since, despite extensive marketing efforts. The application states that the existing structures are in a deteriorated condition, making demolition necessary. It further argues that residential development is the only viable option for bringing the land back into productive use.
