How World’s Largest Sapphire Gemfield is in Australia!

There's a stretch of dry, sunburnt land in the interior of Queensland that most people drive straight past without a second thought. Low ridges, scrubby grass, red dirt tracks, and the occasional rumble of machinery in the distance. It looks like nothing. Like somewhere the world forgot about. Not a patch. Millions upon millions of them, hidden inside ancient gravel beds that run for hundreds of kilometres in every direction.
