Solo harmonica by Livio CAREDDU - challenge #2 Alexey Kormin - Seydel 1847 classic.

🇨🇵 Zoom sur mon solo d’harmonica lors de ma participation au Challenge #2 organisé par Kormin Alexey. Présentation du matériels et de l'approche musicale du morceau : Tout d’abord, j’ai effectué la prise audio à l’aide d’un microphone SM57 placé directement devant mon ampli à lampes VHT special 6 (upgrade). Ensuite, j’ai modelé le son grâce à mon pedalboard, équipé des pédales suivantes : -Harp Attak, (Lone Wolf Company), -Harp Break, (Lone Wolf Company), -American, (Harley Benton) Ces trois pédales réunies agissent comme un boost et m’offrent un rendu très riche avec beaucoup d'attaque et de dynamique. J’utilise également une pédale de delay de chez Mini Memphis, -Mini Memphis delay, réglée de façon à obtenir un effet de réverbération. Pour finir, j’ajoute la pédale Bluesonic, qui projette le son et lui donne plus de spatialité et de présence dans le mix. Côté microphone j’utilise le Black Bullet by Livio, car il réagit très bien aux pédales d’effets et convient parfaitement à mon style de jeu ! Concernant l’approche musicale : Je joue la première partie avec un harmonica en Sol, en 2e position — cette tonalité apporte une dimension roots au phrasé. Puis dans la seconde partie j'attaque le phrasé avec un harmonica en Do, en 3e position, ce qui permet une approche plus rock, avec plus de mordant ! J'alterne  régulièrement entre ses 2 positions se qui est un très bon exercices.  Ce fut une expérience vraiment enrichissante de découvrir les différentes visions et interprétations des autres harmonicistes invités pour l’occasion ! Presentation of the equipment and musical approach to the piece: First, I recorded the audio using an SM57 microphone placed directly in front of my VHT Special 6 (upgrade) tube amp. Then, I shaped the sound using my pedalboard, equipped with the following pedals: -Harp Attack (Lone Wolf Company), -Harp Break (Lone Wolf Company), -American (Harley Benton) These three pedals together act as a boost and give me a very rich sound with plenty of attack and dynamics. I also use a Mini Memphis delay pedal, -Mini Memphis Delay, set to achieve a reverb effect. Finally, I add the Bluesonic pedal, which projects the sound and gives it more space and presence in the mix. For the microphone, I use the Black Bullet by Livio, because it responds very well to effects pedals and suits my playing style perfectly! Regarding the musical approach : I play the first part with a G harmonica, in 2nd position—this key brings a rootsy dimension to the phrasing. Then, in the second part, I attack the phrasing with a C harmonica, in 3rd position, which allows for a more rock approach, with more bite! I regularly alternate between these two positions, which is a very good exercise.
